There’s an endless range of DSLR cameras or mirrorless cameras in the Pakistani market at the moment. So, if you are trying to decide on which one is the best for you then you must have to consider some of the features that will help you cut through some of the chaos and confusion and reach a decision that you won’t regret. The new buyers often get asked the questions like what is the best camera to buy: is Canon better than Nikon, is Olympus better than Pentax, should I get a mirrorless camera?

Well, the truth is that there is no easy answer as to which camera is the best although there are many articles that claim to have a simple answer only you can decide what’s best for you.

So, before you head to the nearest camera store with your wallet in your hand, there are several very important factors to consider and I’m trying to run through those points by points.

The first and foremost is the purpose. What do you want to use your camera for? Are you going to use the cameras to photograph, handmade art and crafts to post online, or are you an avid sports or wildlife photography fan that wants to capture fast-paced action out in the field?

Just because your camera has a greater number of megapixels or a higher frame rate per second doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right camera for you. Let’s get straight into the factors that you must have to consider.

Usage

First of all, the DSLR you are going to buy depends on whether you’ll be using it for photography, videography, or both. If you are buying a DSLR for photography you have to make sure it features various camera modes like HDR, Portrayed, Knight, etc. and along with built-in flash and image editing features.

If you are buying a DSLR for videography you must need to consider the resolution and the frame rate speeds.

Sensor size

As we all knew that the sensor size is one of the most important features to consider while buying a new DSLR. simply, the larger the sensor is, the more information will be captured. And the clearer the photos will be there are various sensor sizes, but the three most popular synthesizes are full-frame, Micro Four Third, and as-c.

The full-frame sensor:

Offer the clarity along with some great dynamic range as the name suggests with a full-frame sensor you have no crop factor so what you see through the viewfinder is what you should, however, full-frame sensors generally benefit the photographers.

The Aps-c:

It is essential to know the aps-c format and what’s used in most entry-level and mid-range cameras from Nikon and Canon. This sensor size brings a 1.6 crop and provides the perfect balance between price and image quality. This sensor size is optimum for both photographers and videographers.

Micro 4/3:

There are 4/3 or micro four-thirds used in Olympus and Panasonic cameras; this sensor size offers 2x crop and uses the four are the three images aspect ratio which makes it more suitable for videographers plus cameras with this sensor size tend to offer more frame rates speed and video resolution.

If you want better photos you should go for a full-frame sensor, if you want better videos you should go for 4/3 sensors and if you want both you can for DSLR at PAX in an aps-c sensor.

Body of DSLR

The next thing is to consider while buying a new DSLR is the body of a DSLR. Well, most cameras look pretty similar. You need to make sure that the economics of a DSLR is perfect for you then you should check for dedicated microphones, an HDMI port, and several custom buttons and go with a camera that has an LCD touchscreen display. Because it just makes things easy and you can check out.

If a DSLR has a flipping display not because it can come in handy, both Canon and Nikon offer touch display on most of their budget cameras, but there are expectations so make sure to check other than that you will get used to the buttons no matter which camera brand you go for.

Lenses

Of course, we knew that lenses are greatly significant when it comes to the quality of the camera. so, you need to make sure that the DSLR brand you are choosing has a good selection of lenses Nikon, Canon, and Sony the three most popular brands, out there has an equally good selection of lenses.

However, Nikon lenses are said to be more affordable compared to Canon and Sony also all those camera brands offer a kit length of around 18 to 55-millimeter zoom lenses. However, if you are on a budget you should go for a cheaper body and invest in zoom as well as the prime lens so you are covered on all the fronts.

For instance, we used the 18 to 55-millimeter kit lens and the 50-millimeter F 1 point 8 prime lens for our videos and they work amazingly well.

It is fact that the price of any camera depends on its specs well the DSLR camera’s price in Pakistan varies from model to model according to their quality.

Megapixels

The megapixels count is important but as important as you might think more megapixels does not necessarily mean better photos. 8 megapixels photos are good enough for large print and even entry-level DSLR come to 15 to 16 megapixels. So, any DSLR that you buy today will have more than enough megapixels so you don’t need to take the megapixels into account.

Future Proofs?

DSLRs don’t come in very cheap you need to make sure that the new DSLR you are buying is future-proof for at least a few years unless you are applying to very soon honestly if you are on a budget, you should be good enough with most Nikon and Canon cameras but if you look into the professional you plan to invest this one time to should go with a camera with full-frame sensor for photography and cameras with 4K support.

Also, it is most convenient for us to purchase through an online camera shop at the same price as the market. Extensively managerial photographers take elegant photographs by using a DSLR camera, therefore, you can also capture your moments by taking better photos and videos.
